In the company of Real Story you can always buy both limestone and granite crushed stone for the most favorable conditions for you!

Limestone crushed stone is extracted from limestone and represents small pebbles of white, yellowish-white or gray color (depends on the composition of impurities). Such crushed stone is one of the cheapest and universal building materials, thanks to which it is widely used in various fields of civil and industrial construction.
In addition, it is worth noting the environmental friendliness of limestone crushed stone, as it does not contain harmful elements or impurities, as well as its resistance to significant temperature changes. Most often, limestone crushed stone is used in the construction of roads, but much depends on its fraction, that is, the size.

Let's consider the main fractions of limestone crushed stone:
  • Small fraction. The size of the pebbles in the small fraction can range from 5 to 20 mm. Most often, this rubble is used in the manufacture of concrete, the production of concrete structures and pouring the foundation;
  • The middle fraction. The size of the rubble varies from 20 to 40 mm. Crushed granite is used in the production of concrete and concrete structures, as well as road construction;
  • The large faction. Dimensions of stones from 40 to 70 mm. Crushed granite fraction is used quite rarely and most often it is used for the production of massive concrete structures.
It is worth noting that limestone crushed stone is almost inferior to granite in all respects, so it is used only in those cases when the quality of the object under construction does not have much significance. For example, limestone crushed stone is used in the construction of roads with a low transport load.
Granite crushed stone is mined by a quarry method. First, a granite rock is exploded, after which the blocks obtained from it are ground into crushed stone, which is then sorted by fractions. This rubble has a number of advantages compared to limestone, but the price is slightly higher.

There are the following fractions of granite rubble:
  • The minimum fraction. The size of the rubble of this fraction ranges from 0 to 5 mm. It is mainly used for decorative finishing and for shedding of tracks;
  • Small fraction. The size of the rubble varies from 5 to 20 mm. Used in the manufacture of concrete and concrete structures;
  • The middle fraction. Dimensions of stones from 20 to 40 mm. Most often used in the manufacture of reinforced concrete structures, when laying tramways and highways;
  • The large faction. Crushed stone of this fraction has dimensions from 40 to 70 mm and is used for the production of large-sized concrete structures, as well as for the erection of buildings;
  • Maximum fractions. Here, the stones vary in size from 70 to 120 mm. They are used exclusively for decorative purposes when designing fences or swimming pools.
In conclusion, I want to note that granite excellently manifests itself in a variety of conditions. It is frost-resistant, incredibly durable and relatively cheap. In addition, granite rubble differs in a variety of color shades, which makes it an excellent material for decorative and finishing works.
